AdmiraltyADMIRALTY Digital Charts
AVCS and ARCS

Weekly updates, provided either via CD or the internet, ensure that the mariner or shore based company has access to complete and up to date information. Having the updates loaded electronically saves time and reduces chances of errors that can occur with manual updating of paper charts.
The ARCS charts can be licensed on a chart by chart basis thereby providing flexibility in your ordering of charts as you only license what you need!

The most comprehensive global coverage available
AVCS provides the most extensive official coverage, allowing ships to navigate on ECDIS for the entirety of most major routes on a single chart service. This coverage includes 4,000 of the biggest and busiest ports worldwide, of which we offer unique coverage for over 150.
100% official, certification provided
All ENCs in AVCS meet the mandatory chart carriage requirements of SOLAS Chapter V, with certificates provided for local inspection.
All AVCS customers will also receive weekly ENC updates by internet download, email or disc. Installing the latest updates on a regular basis supports safe navigation and compliance with flag and port state requirements.
Operates on all ECDIS makes
AVCS is delivered in industry standard S-63 / S57 formats, guaranteeing compatibility with all ECDIS sold today – even in a mixed fleet.
AVCS S-63 Edition 1.1 also meets the latest authorized data protection standard from the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO), designed to reduce the risk of both data piracy and the distribution of unofficial, dangerous ENCs to the mariner.
Free unique ADMIRALTY Information Overlay feature
To help bridge crews recognize areas of possible navigational vagueness and risk at the crucial passage planning stage, all AVCS customers receive the unique ADMIRALTY Information Overlay (AIO) at no extra cost. Combining all UKHO Temporary and Preliminary Notices to Mariners (T&P NMs) for all ADMIRALTY Standard Nautical Charts, and ENC Preliminary Notice to Mariners (EP NMs), AIO is displayed as a single layer on top of an ENC.

ADMIRALTY Digital Publications
Capitalising on the UKHO’s expertise, the ADP portfolio helps the mariner to transition from paper-based nautical publications to improved digital versions.
Approved by the Flag States of over 80% of ships trading internationally, ADP applications provide the same level of compliance as traditional ADMIRALTY paper-based publications for ships trading under these Flag States.
Easy to use and clearly displayed using a growing number of back-of-bridge software, including ADMIRALTY Planning Station, ADP applications can be viewed as a single layer on top of official navigational charts.
All ADP applications provide global coverage and are divided into regions to provide flexibility and simplicity.
